Paul Mitz has been in, around, building, remodeling and repairing pools since 1975.
He founded Paul Mitz Construction in May 1980, and became a Florida registered Corporation in July 1990 as Paul Mitz Construction Inc. He obtained his Florida State Certified Pool/Spa Contractor license that same year.
In 1993 Paul Mitz Construction Inc. became PMCI Pools & Spas. Since the beginning, and exclusively by referral on our name and reputation, we have been building well designed, strong, quality pools throughout the state.
We have a complete holistic approach to construction and green-eco friendly technics to minimize a potential negative impact to the environment and your property. It is not just about installing variable speed pumps to save energy, adding effective cleaning systems to minimize maintenance, maximizing water circulation with adequate filters and plumbing size, or replacing gallons of inert chemicals with salt generating chlorine systems. There is more to it than equipment efficiencies, green and environmentally responsible construction techniques . We build “return on investment” into your pool.
Our projects are engineered with automation features for safety and ease of use, and focused on low maintenance to enhance ownership and efficiency. Our construction practices and specifications go beyond the industry standards, always exceeding local, county and state regulations.
We use materials that are higher than average quality and that have proven to last longer, as exposed aggregate interior finishes, paver or natural travertine stones for decks, and commercial grade deco drains to handle the unpredictable Florida downpours.
We use more steel, concrete and pipe than the average builder, because we engineer and build for longevity and strength. We design our plumbing systems to take advantage of our equipment sets, so that is easier for you to take care of your pool.

Paul has been a Melbourne resident for 51 years and in the past, has subcontracted work from the leading pool builders in Brevard.
He became a Florida State Certified Residential Pool Contractor in 1991. He has 37 years of practical experience and knowledge in all phases of pool construction. As his passion for construction and building took shape into creating beautiful back yard oasis for families to enjoy, he focuses on detail, safety measures, accident prevention and efficiencies on construction techniques. His number one priority is to build a strong, lasting, and safe project for families to enjoy for years to come. He has made this his lifelong passion, and is committed to it.
He is well known and respected among his peers, for his attention to detail, outstanding pride in his product, professional ethics, high construction quality and customer satisfaction.

Maria Veronica Massa, Designer
Maria Veronica is a Senior Designer with 28 years experience that found her true passion transforming backyards.
She graduated from the University of Architecture in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has a natural design style, that is influenced by her family heritage and her latin roots. While in Buenos Aires, she applied her designing talents to the marketing and branding needs of corporations, but when she engaged in constructions projects, she discovered that there was no greater satisfaction than to interpret a customer vision, wants and needs, and creatively transform that, into a backyard design.
She is motivated by the challenge to deliver a complete project that brings to life the customers dream, and adds joy to everyone that interacts with it.
It’s the focus that drives her design passion.
She became part owner in 1994.
